Copy the reset date and time shown in your Codex usage screen. This timer saves your chosen time in this browser. It does not read your account or detect a global reset.

When does Codex usage reset?

For your regular allowance, use the reset timestamp in Codex Settings → Usage. Your five-hour and weekly windows can reset at different times. A Tibo reset announcement describes a separate event; it does not replace the times shown on your account.

How to use a banked Codex reset

A banked reset is a one-time usage reset saved to your account. In Settings → Usage, select an available reset, review its expiry, and confirm. Eligibility and expiry depend on the offer.

A full banked reset refreshes your five-hour and weekly windows and changes your weekly reset date. Check the updated time before saving a new countdown here. Read OpenAI's banked reset guide for current terms.

How the Tibo reset tracker works

The timeline checks a public announcement feed every five minutes while this tab is open. Every post links to its original source. The hero countdown reads explicit future timing from a global-reset announcement; vague promises such as “soon” stay uncounted. The OpenAI status feed is checked separately and does not predict resets.

The personal timer uses the date you enter and saves it in this browser. Neither timer reads your account or verifies that a reset happened. If the feed stops responding, saved posts stay visible with a notice and their last check time.

Questions about Codex resets

Who is Tibo, and why follow his reset announcements?

Tibo is Thibault Sottiaux, known as @thsottiaux on X. He posts public updates about Codex, including reset announcements. This page collects reset-related posts and links to their original sources.

When is the next Tibo Codex reset?

The hero shows a countdown when an announcement gives an explicit date, time, and timezone. With no pending announcement, it says “No reset announced.” An announcement without usable timing says “Reset time not confirmed.” A reached countdown means the planned time has passed, not that your allowance has been restored. Past reset dates do not establish a fixed schedule.

Does a global Codex reset apply to every account?

Check the announcement for eligible plans and accounts. A post about a global reset does not guarantee that every usage window on your account is restored. Your Codex usage screen is the place to confirm your current allowance.

Is the Codex reset tracker free?

Yes. The public announcement feed and personal countdown are free. AI Usage Tracker for Mac is a separate app: $14.99 as a one-time purchase, yours forever, with no subscription.

Will the countdown notify me when this tab is closed?

The browser timer shows the time remaining while the page is open. It does not send notifications or check announcements after you close the tab. The saved time is restored when you reopen this page in the same browser. The Mac app offers account reset notifications.
