Track Claude Code usage alongside your limits
The Claude ring follows the current session window. Its hover panel shows the weekly allowance and any additional model-specific windows available for the account. Each window keeps its own percentage and reset time, so a session reset does not imply that your weekly allowance has returned.
Claude Code activity appears alongside the account readings. See which sessions are working, finished, or waiting for input, and use an activity indicator to return to the session that needs you.
Connect the Claude account on your Mac
- Build and open AI Usage Tracker on a Mac running macOS 15 or later.
- Sign in to Claude Code. If you also use Claude Desktop, keep it running and signed in to the same account so its cached usage can be read.
- Enable Claude in AI Usage Tracker's Settings. Hover its ring to check the account readings and available windows.
The app reads recent Claude Desktop usage data when it can match it to the account. It falls back to Claude Code's /usage response, then the existing OAuth sign-in where available. A recent Desktop cache can supply a reading without making another usage request.
Keep work and personal accounts separate
Claude Code profiles used under ~/.claude-<name> can appear as separate rings. Each profile keeps its own allowance and sessions. Restart AI Usage Tracker after adding a profile so it can discover the new account.
Read reset times without guessing
Reset times come from the usage source. The app can notify you when it observes that an allowance has returned. It monitors the allowance; it cannot increase your limits or make a window reset sooner.
When Claude Desktop exposes unused reset grants, the hover panel can show their availability and expiry. Open Desktop's Settings → Usage for the same account to populate that cache. Grants are marked as cached, and any reset must be redeemed in Claude.

Does this track Claude Desktop too?
Recent usage cached by Claude Desktop can supply account readings when Desktop is running and the account matches the Claude profile. The activity indicators on this page describe Claude Code sessions; they do not promise visibility into every action in Claude Desktop.
Is this an Anthropic API spending tracker?
This integration follows the Claude account usage windows exposed by the connected session. It does not combine Anthropic Console API billing into that subscription allowance.
What should I check if a reading is missing?
Check that the intended account is signed in to Claude Code or Claude Desktop. If the session has expired, sign in again through Claude. Old cached data and provider rate limits can delay a fresh reading; the app shows a status rather than inventing a percentage.
