Best UsageScope alternatives (2026)
If you use UsageScope for historical dashboards, a smaller live monitor will not replace that history. If you only check the current allowance, the extra dashboards and ranking features may be unnecessary.

What would you lose by switching?
UsageScope’s current Mac listing describes both a notch and history dashboards. Its policy explains optional rankings and mobile sync. List the features you use before treating a simpler monitor as a complete replacement.
Your local history may not import into another tracker. A new app may be able to rebuild some totals from provider logs, but that does not establish identical time ranges, deduplication or account attribution.
CodexBar
- Best for
- A free, open-source allowance view
- Price
- Free, open source
- Runs on
- macOS 14+; Linux desktop and CLI builds
The repository documents its surfaces and setup. Choose it when your daily decision is whether a provider has enough remaining allowance to start a task.
You can keep local reports separately if you occasionally need to investigate what generated the token workload. The live monitor does not have to be the reporting system.
Trade-off: Do not assume UsageScope’s history, mobile pairing or public profile data can be imported.
AI Usage TrackerOur app
- Best for
- Mac session attention and local runtime metrics
- Price
- $9.99 once
- Runs on
- macOS 15+, Apple silicon and Intel
Our notch keeps usage rings alongside supported agents’ working or waiting states. Loaded Ollama and LM Studio models can also appear, with context and runtime details that differ from cloud quota.
Choose it for those signals. Any-edge placement is shared with current UsageScope releases, so it is not a unique reason to switch.
Trade-off: Our purchase is higher than the $1.99 Lifetime Pro shown in the US Mac listing. We do not offer UsageScope’s cross-platform reporting and mobile products.
Syrtis (formerly TokenBar)
- Best for
- Token history that stays on the computer
- Price
- Free, open source
- Runs on
- macOS 14+ on Apple silicon; Windows x64 and ARM64
Syrtis’s product description says it parses local logs without a cloud account or sync. It can suit someone who wants model and daily breakdowns but does not want optional public ranking.
Use the resulting cost estimates as a way to investigate activity. Validate charges and billable items in the provider’s own records.
Trade-off: The Mac app requires Apple silicon, and histories from another machine do not appear through cloud sync.
SessionWatcher
- Best for
- A commercial tracker spanning Mac and Windows
- Runs on
- macOS 14+; Windows 10 (2004+) and 11
SessionWatcher’s facts page describes its platforms and license limits. Consider it when paid support and a taskbar readout are the requirements.
Use its documented trial to check the actual provider fields you need. The platform list is not a promise that every feature is identical across systems.
Trade-off: Multiple accounts require Pro, and its companion features have their own Mac and beta boundaries.
Our recommendation
Stay with UsageScope if you rely on its dashboards or mobile access. Choose a simpler monitor when you only need current quota. Choose a local history tool when reporting matters but cloud sync does not. Our app earns consideration for agent states and local runtime monitoring.
A practical way to choose
- Save any history or export you need before changing tools.
- Review which optional sync and ranking features are enabled.
- Check the replacement with a fresh reading on each intended platform.
Questions
Will disconnecting a provider delete all its history?
Do not assume that. UsageScope’s policy says disconnecting can retain credentials and history. Follow the product’s documented deletion controls when that is your intent.
Which alternative has the same mobile features?
We did not establish exact parity. Compare phone platforms, Mac dependency, refresh rules and purchase terms for the feature you need.
