The Mac listing describes period dashboards and multi-account support where available. If you want to inspect patterns over weeks and months, that is a stronger documented reporting proposition than our compact operational notch.
UsageScope’s website also links to Windows, iPhone and Android versions. Its cross-platform offering is the better fit when viewing usage away from the Mac is a purchase requirement. Verify the feature on the platform you plan to use.
Price and trial details need care
The US Mac App Store listing showed a $1.99 Lifetime Pro in-app purchase on 8 October 2026. That is less than our $9.99 app. The price is tied to that storefront and platform; it is not a promise about Windows or mobile purchases.
The Mac description and older release notes give different trial lengths. We are not choosing one as current. Check the trial and entitlement shown inside the app. Mobile ad-removal subscriptions are a separate purchase from the Mac lifetime offer.
Where AI Usage Tracker fits
AI Usage Tracker combines provider allowance with working, finished and waiting states for supported agent sessions. Separate Claude and Codex profile rings help keep the account behind each reading visible.
The local Ollama and LM Studio integrations also expose runtime-specific details such as loaded models, context and speed. Ollama speed capture requires our local relay; LM Studio uses its SDK socket and server logs. Consider that workflow if you mix local inference with cloud coding tools.
Choose the sharing model deliberately
UsageScope’s privacy policy describes local storage, optional rankings and several mobile sync paths. The support page explains that some mobile connections depend on a Mac refresh. Local-first does not mean every optional feature stays on one device.
Our phone-link protocol is limited to a compatible companion on the same local network. It is not equivalent to a released App Store companion or remote sync service. Do not buy our Mac app assuming those products are included.
Our recommendation
UsageScope is the better documented fit for reporting and cross-platform access, and its listed Mac price is lower. Choose AI Usage Tracker if its supported agent states and local runtime readings are the particular signals you want beside your work.
